Associate Professors Eka Ekaladze and Nestan Merkvildze of the Department of Biochemistry of TSMU participated in the annual conference of the Biochemical Society (UK), a member of the Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS). The 2025 meeting was held under the theme “Promoting Teaching Excellence in Biosciences Education.”

The conference focused on innovative approaches in bioscience education, including curriculum design, digital learning, active methodologies and the role of artificial intelligence in medical education. TSMU representatives emphasized that participation in such events is essential for strengthening biochemistry as a core component of the university’s educational process.
