A five-days XVII International Scientific Conference - Health and Ecology was held in Lugano, Switzerland on September 26. The conference was traditionally organized by the Faculty of Public Health of Tbilisi State Medical University and the Medical Ecology Association.

According to Associate Professor Marina Giorgobiani, organizer of the conference and Head of the Department of Hygiene, Medical Ecology and Health Promotion, the aim of the meeting was to discuss issues related to health, hygiene, and environmental protection, share modern approaches, and exchange experiences among international practitioners.

The event was conducted in a hybrid format, enabling active participation from both onsite and online attendees. Nearly 70 specialists took part in the conference. The meeting was also attended by Shota Getsadze, the Ambassador of Georgia to Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
