Tbilisi State Medical University hosted Associate Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School and Associate Pathologist at Massachusetts General Hospital, Gulisa Turashvili. The guest delivered a public lecture “Challenging Issues in the Diagnosis of Endometrial and Cervical Epithelial Tumors.”
The interactive session provided students, academic staff and clinicians with insights into modern diagnostic approaches, best international practices and current clinical challenges in pathology. Participants gained valuable practical and theoretical knowledge relevant to contemporary pathology.
Shortly about Associate Professor Gulisa Turashvili: She graduated from TSMU, earned her Doctorate at Palacký University, Czech Republic and continued her career at the British Columbia Cancer Research Centre, Canada. She currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Cancer Committee of the College of American Pathologists and is an active member of multiple national and international pathology committees, including the Check Path Anatomical Pathology Committee of the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
