Professor Shalva Zarnadze, Dean of the Faculty of Public Health of Tbilisi State Medical University, Professor Levan Baramidze and Associate Professor Irine Zarnadze visited the University of Rennes (France). A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Faculties of Public Health of Tbilisi State Medical University and the University of Rennes, establishing a framework for institutional cooperation.
The Memorandum outlines several key areas of collaboration, including:
• Mobility opportunities for master’s and doctoral students of TSMU.
• Joint supervision of master’s and PhD research projects.
• Delivery of short courses for doctoral candidates.
• Development of a joint Georgian-French Master’s programme;
• Organization of workshops within the Master’s programme “Health Promotion and Health Education”.
• Preparation and implementation of joint scientific research projects and publication of research outputs.
• Development and implementation of initiatives focused on the integration of digital technologies and artificial intelligence into the academic process.
The Memorandum was formally signed by the Deans of the Faculties of Public Health—Professor Shalva Zarnadze (TSMU) and Professor Isabelle Richard (University of Rennes).
During the visit, Tbilisi State Medical University also became a member of a French–Georgian consortium established within the framework of the European Commission-funded Erasmus+ KA171 programme.
