Tbilisi State Medical University hosted its annual Open Day, welcoming hundreds of prospective students interested in pursuing a career in healthcare and medical sciences.

The event offered visitors a unique opportunity to explore the University’s academic programs, clinical training facilities, research institutes, and vibrant student life. Throughout the day, applicants and their families met with faculty representatives, academic staff, and current students, receiving comprehensive information about TSMU’s educational opportunities.

One of the highlights of the event was the interactive digital learning space, where visitors experienced virtual laboratory tours using VR technology and explored human anatomy through an innovative digital anatomy table.

Special exhibition stands showcased the University’s clinics and research institutes, providing insight into the practical and research components of medical education at TSMU.

The University courtyard hosted a variety of student-led activities, including educational quizzes, sports competitions, and presentations by student organizations, offering guests a glimpse into campus life beyond the classroom.

Professor Irakli Natroshvili, Rector of TSMU, welcomed the attendees and emphasized the University’s commitment to academic excellence and student success.

“TSMU is the leading medical university in Georgia, with a long-standing tradition of excellence in medical education. We are proud that most healthcare professionals in the country are our graduates and that many of them have achieved success internationally. We look forward to welcoming a new generation of future healthcare professionals to our university,” the Rector stated.

The Open Day concluded with an interactive QA session, during which prospective students received detailed information about academic programs, international exchange opportunities, student mobility, and clinical training.
