Academic Visit of the Thai Delegation to Tbilisi State Medical University

Tbilisi State Medical University hosted an academic delegation from the Medical School Executives (MSE) network (Thailand). The primary objective of the delegation's academic visit was to gain insight into the University's educational, research and clinical capacities, explore its core teaching and research infrastructure and exchange experience in the fields of international cooperation and institutional partnership.

During the official meeting, the 38-member delegation was welcomed by Professor Irakli Natroshvili, Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University. The TSMU rector expressed his appreciation for the delegation's visit and emphasized that international collaboration remains one of the TSMU strategic priorities.

Professor Rusudan Rukhadze, Vice-Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, delivered a comprehensive presentation introducing the University to the delegation. The presentation highlighted TSMU's history, academic programmes, international partnerships, research activities, clinical training bases and key strategic directions for future development. The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer discussion.

Following the meeting at the University's administrative building, the Thai delegation toured TSMU's academic facilities, where members were introduced to the University's educational infrastructure and modern teaching environment. The visitors explored the Clinical Skills and Multidisciplinary Simulation Centre, the Examination Centre, the University Library, the Professor Shalva Toidze Museum of Topographic Anatomy and the Life Sciences Museum.
