Associate Professor Giorgi
Chichinadze, Department of Physiology of Tbilisi State Medical University
participated in a five-day academic training at Atatürk University Erzurum,
Republic of Türkiye within the framework of Erasmus+ Staff Mobility
Associate Professor Giorgi
Chichinadze was introduced to the everyday activities of the University
Hospital of Atatürk University, as well as its Departments of Medical
Education, Family Medicine, and Pathology, and the Objective Structured
Clinical Examination (OSCE) Centre. The programme also provided an opportunity
to explore the faculty’s modern educational infrastructure, teaching and
research facilities and laboratory resources.
As part of the visit, Associate
Professor Giorgi Chichinadze held meetings with Professor Meltem Alkan
Melikoğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and the Vice Deans, Professor
Ayşenur Dostbil and Professor Mustafa Kara. The discussions focused on opportunities
for expanding institutional cooperation, strengthening student and academic
staff exchange programmes and developing future joint academic and research
initiatives between the two universities.
At the end of the mobility
programme Associate Professor Giorgi Chichinadze met with Professor Ahmet
Hacımüftüoğlu, Rector of Atatürk University. During the meeting, the Rector
expressed a strong commitment to further strengthening academic and research
collaboration with Tbilisi State Medical University and reaffirmed Atatürk
University's readiness to support future mobility opportunities for TSMU
students and academic staff.
