On 18–19 September 2026, Tbilisi State Medical University will host a two-day International

Cadaver Course designed for oral and maxillofacial surgeons and implantologists for the first

time in Georgia. The course is being delivered through a partnership between Tbilisi State

Medical University, JDentalCare, and the Caucasus Institute for Surgical Anatomy (CISA). The

initiative is based on the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between TSMU and JDentalCare,

followed by a collaboration agreement between the University's Dental University Clinic and

CISA.

The educational programme will focus on Maxilla-For-All protocols and contemporary

techniques in implantology and oral and maxillofacial surgery. Participants will receive hands-on

training using anatomical specimens while gaining practical experience with advanced surgical

approaches widely implemented in European clinical practice.

The course will be led by internationally recognized Italian specialists: Dr Filippo De Paolis,

International Mentor in the Management of Atrophic Jaws and Dr Manuel Mingione,

International Mentor in the Management of Atrophic Jaws.

Programme:

Day 1: September 18 (09:00–17:00): Maxilla

 Zygomatic implant placement;

 Transnasal implant placement;

 Pterygoid implant placement;

 Maxilla-For-All full-arch rehabilitation protocols;

 Immediate loading techniques.

Day 2: September 19 (09:00–17:00): Mandible

 All-on-4 protocol and immediate loading;

 Ramus bone block harvesting;

 Lateralisation of the inferior alveolar nerve;

 Transposition of the inferior alveolar nerve;

 Flap design and anatomical landmarks;

 Prevention and management of surgical complications.

The organization of an international cadaver course of this scale marks a significant milestone in

the advancement of modern dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery in Georgia. The

programme will provide Georgian specialists with a unique opportunity to acquire international

expertise and gain hands-on experience with world-leading surgical techniques without leaving

the country.

The course will be conducted in English, with Georgian interpretation provided. Places are

limited.
