On June 3, 2023 Tbilisi State Medical University and Georgian Association of Pediatric Surgeons organized an international conference in pediatric surgery. The conference was dedicated to the memory of an outstanding pediatric surgeon, Honorary Doctor of TSMU Professor Yitzhak Vinograd.

Giorgi Amilakhvari the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Ms. Hadas Ester Meitzad Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Georgia, Professor Zurab Vadachkoria Rector of TSMU, Professor Micha Rabau (Israel) and Professor Shlomi Constantini (Israel) delivered welcoming speeches at the opening ceremony of the conference.
