On October 13-18, 2024, Professor Ramaz Shengelia, Head of the Department of Medical History and Bioethics of Tbilisi State Medical University visited the University of Göttingen (Germany).

Professor Shengelia participated in a series of workshops focusing on application of artificial intelligence in medicine, medical informatics and digitalization. During his visit, he met with the administration of the University of Göttingen's Faculty of Medicine and the head of the Medical Informatics Center. The German side expressed a strong interest in collaborative initiatives.

"A wide-ranging collaboration was proposed, involving the digitalization of the collection of the Georgian Medical History Museum of Tbilisi State Medical University, the application of artificial intelligence in medical-humanities disciplines and the implementation of joint projects" said Professor Ramaz Shengelia.

Professor Ramaz Shengelia presented a lecture: "Georgia: German Doctors and Pharmacists” at the University of Göttingen.
