International School Students Visit to Tbilisi State Medical University

On April 14–15, Tbilisi State Medical University hosted over 100 students from international schools, including Oman School and Qatar’s Future Science School. A series of specially designed activities and events were held for the visitors over the two-day period.

The students met with representatives from the Department of International Relations and the Division for International Student Recruitment and Admission, as well as members of the Ivane Tarkhnishvili Student Scientific Society. During the session, the guests received detailed information about TSMU’s academic programs, student life, upcoming university projects and various opportunities available for prospective students. Following the presentation, the session transitioned into an interactive Q&A format, allowing students to receive comprehensive answers to their inquiries. The event also included an engaging educational quiz and students who provided correct answers were awarded prizes. The guests also toured TSMU’s educational campus, explored the Museum of Life Sciences and visited the Clinical Skills and Multidisciplinary Simulation Center, where they received an overview of basic life support procedures. Under the guidance of the center’s specialists, the students had the opportunity to perform medical simulations on mannequins.

The departments of Faculty of Pharmacy also hosted the guests, introducing them to interesting facts about pharmaceutical botany and pharmaceutical technologies. Additionally, the students were given the chance to conduct simple experiments themselves, enhancing the hands-on learning experience.
