TSMU Delegation visited Klaipėda University

A delegation from Tbilisi State Medical University visited Klaipėda University in Lithuania within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 academic staff mobility program. The visit included educational activities, the establishment of new professional networks and the planning of future collaborations with several foreign universities.

Associate Professor Dali Chitaishvili, Department of Clinical Skills and Multidisciplinary Simulation, and invited lecturers from the Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation — Levan Akhalkatsi and Sofiko Shagidze delivered lectures and conducted practical sessions at Klaipėda University on the following topics:

“The Importance of Simulation-Based Learning in Obstetrics and Gynecology” – Dali Chitaishvili

“Clinical and Functional Assessment of the Musculoskeletal System (Shoulder Girdle and Knee Region)” – Levan Akhalkatsi

“Clinical and Functional Assessment of Patients in Neurorehabilitation” – Sofiko Shagidze

The TSMU delegation participated in the event organized by Klaipėda University — “22nd International Week: Cultural Mosaic in Education”, which brought together higher education institutions from various countries. TSMU representatives held meetings with delegates from participating universities, resulting in the identification of several key areas for future collaboration, including student and academic staff exchange programs.

“The visit revealed several important avenues for cooperation. We believe that the agreements reached will significantly contribute to the strengthening of our university’s international academic and scientific partnerships,” stated Professor Dali Chitaishvili.
