The winning project of the COST Programme 2025 - “EU-Resolution Biology Network” (EU-RESOLVE) will be implemented with the active participation of researchers from the Department of Immunology ofTbilisi State Medical University.

The “EU-Resolution Biology Network” (EU-RESOLVE) is a winning project of the COST Programme for 2025, involving 132 participating institutions from 38 countries, including researchers from the Department of Immunology of Tbilisi State Medical University. The project is coordinated by Queen Mary University of London.

Resolution Biology represents a novel, interdisciplinary field of science focused on the rapid termination of inflammatory responses in the body and the effective regeneration of damaged tissues. This discipline integrates various branches of life sciences, medical sciences and applied sciences. The project aims to establish an open-access platform that will consolidate knowledge and expertise in response to the contemporary challenges of resolution biology.

COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is a European Union-funded programme that fosters one of the most extensive research collaboration networks across Europe. It enables scientists and innovators to establish interdisciplinary research networks both within and beyond Europe. The COST Programme supports conferences, workshops, training schools, scientific visits, and other forms of networking activities. It also facilitates the formation of international consortia for participation in other EU-funded grant programmes such as Horizon Europe and Erasmus+.

Through the active involvement of implementing institutions, the Resolution Biology Network will significantly contribute to the strengthening of international collaboration, the advancement of interdisciplinary research and the training of a new generation of scientists and researchers.
