Tbilisi State Medical University students are participating in the 2025 LISA Summer Academy, hosted by Hannover Medical School. The project is funded by the DAAD-SDG Foundation within the framework of the international partnership project “Preparing Georgian Students of Medicine and Biology Profiles for a Scientific Career in Life Sciences and Medicine”.

In 2024, the students completed the elective course “Preparation for a Scientific Career” at TSMU and are now gaining insight into the specifics of scientific activity at the Summer Academy. The program consists of a one-week theoretical module and a two-week practical laboratory training. The internship provides students with a unique opportunity to familiarize themselves with modern scientific methods, develop practical skills and prepare for future independent research projects.

The international project “Preparing Georgian Students of Medicine and Biology Profiles for a Scientific Career in Life Sciences and Medicine”, funded by the DAAD-SDG Foundation and jointly implemented by Tbilisi State Medical University and Hannover Medical School since January 2024, aims to enhance the scientific competencies of young scholars.
