The 35The 35th Annual Conference of the European Association for International Education (EAIE) was hosted by the city of Gothenburg, Sweden. EAIE is one of the most prestigious and large-scale forums in the field of higher education, annually bringing together leading universities from across the globe.
This year, the conference welcomed delegations from more than 100 countries. Its main objectives were to explore contemporary trends in the internationalization of higher education, to expand international partnership networks and to identify new pathways for cooperation within the global educational space.
Ketevan Bibilashvili, Deputy Head of the Department of International Relations of TSMU, Inga Kakhnishvili, Deputy Dean of the International Faculty of Medicine and Stomatology and Nino Kandelaki. ERASMUS+ Institutional Coordinator attended the conference. The goal of the visit of the TSMU delegation was to strengthen existing partnerships, initiate new projects and establish connections with universities, research centers and various educational organizations participating in the exhibition. Within the framework of EAIE, TSMU representatives held meetings with delegates from 35 universities across 21 countries. Participation in such events is a priority for TSMU, as it reinforces collaboration with international partners, creates new opportunities and platforms for cooperation and enriches the university’s internationalization process. According to the delegation members, this year’s conference proved to be particularly fruitful. They held discussions with representatives of leading universities from different countries, which will contribute to TSMU’s deeper integration into the international educational space, expansion of student and academic staff mobility and the development of innovative educational programs.
