NAFSA Global Summit in Tangier (Morocco)

Professor Irakli Natroshvili, Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University and Head of the Department of Medical Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, and Salome Voronovi, Deputy Head of the Academic Development and Strategic Planning Department participated in the NAFSA Global Summit in Tangier, Morocco. The TSMU delegation held official meetings with Dr. Fanta Aw, Executive Director and CEO of NAFSA and Ahmad Ezzeddine, President of NAFSA. The parties discussed opportunities for strengthening international partnerships, pathways for developing academic mobility and new formats for inter-university cooperation.

The summit was co-hosted by NAFSA and the American College of the Mediterranean (ACM) / Institute for American Universities (IAU). The central theme of the event "Future-Ready at the Crossroads of Civilization” placed particular emphasis on the adaptation of educational systems and the development of strategic visions amidst global challenges. The large-scale event featured discussions and sessions aimed at sharing experiences, shaping global visions and reviewing new strategic directions. 

TSMU’s participation in the NAFSA Global Summit further underscores the university’s active engagement in international educational processes and its readiness to strengthen collaboration within the global academic space.
