The project TSMU Ambassadors hosted N 60 public school students

Within the framework of the project TSMU Ambassadors, Tbilisi State Medical University hosted IX – X grade students from N 60 public school. The students toured the University’s academic buildings and lecture halls. They also visited the Life Sciences Museum, where they observed unique exhibits, embryological specimens and anthropological models. In addition, students explored the museum’s interactive space, where they received information about the process of DNA extraction.

As part of the TSMU Ambassadors’ project, a training session was conducted for the students at the Clinical Skills and Simulation Center. The training integrated both theoretical knowledge and practical activities. Participants acquired essential first aid skills and learned how to apply them in real-life situations. Under the guidance of instructors, students practiced measuring and assessing vital signs using mannequins and simulation models. They also learned techniques for removing airway obstructions using training models and became familiar with various medical procedures, including the basic life support algorithm, emergency response to bleeding and trauma, and the application of bandages. The activity concluded with a quiz, allowing students to practically demonstrate the knowledge they had acquired.

Within the framework of the project, students were also invited to participate in a university competition: TSMU Through My Eyes. The participants are required to submit their work within 10 days following their visit. The winners will be awarded the status of TSMU Ambassadors.

The TSMU Ambassadors project was launched by the University on March 11, 2026, designed for students in grades 9 through 12. The initiative aims to familiarize them with Tbilisi State Medical University, provide comprehensive information about its faculties and educational opportunities and present the diverse professional pathways within the fields of medicine and healthcare. The project also supports students in making informed decisions regarding their future profession and choice of university. Furthermore, the initiative contributes to raising awareness among young people about health, healthcare systems and social responsibility.
