A regional conference - Tourism, Emergency Nursing Care, and Regional Human Capital Development Strategies was held in Batumi within the framework of International Nurses and Midwives Week 2026. The conference aims to support the development of the nursing and midwifery professions at both regional and national levels, strengthen human resources, and promote the sustainability of the healthcare system, particularly in tourism-oriented and high-demand regions.

Professor Irakli Natroshvili, Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, addressed the audience and emphasized the vital role of nursing and midwifery professionals in the modern healthcare system. Within the framework of the conference, 32 nurses were awarded for their professional contributions.
