Tbilisi State Medical University continues its series of faculty and university-wide student scientific conferences, providing a platform for students and young researchers to present their research and engage in academic exchange.

The series continued on June 10 with the Student Scientific Conference in Stomatology, where young researchers presented studies on a wide range of topics, including periodontal diseases in pregnancy, dental defect diagnostics, the histological structure of the dental pulp, maternal and child oral health, the impact of diabetes on oral diseases, biomarkers of periodontal inflammation, early diagnosis of infectious diseases, retention methods in implantology, and factors contributing to temporomandibular joint dysfunction.

The conference series brings together students from TSMU and other higher education institutions across Georgia. Participants present their research findings in both oral and poster formats, with submissions evaluated by expert juries representing the respective fields.

The faculty-level competition comprises seven sections, with the three highest-ranked participants from each section advancing to the University Student Scientific Conference, to be held at TSMU on June 24.

The abstracts of the winning students will be published in a scientific journal, supporting the promotion of young researchers and highlighting their academic achievements. An award ceremony for the winners of the student scientific conferences will be held on June 25.
