The student scientific conference series at Tbilisi State Medical University is a valuable platform for students to present their research findings, share clinical experiences, and engage in scientific discussion.
On June 13, students of the Faculty of Medicine presented a wide range of research projects and clinical case studies. The conference covered a broad spectrum of medical and biomedical disciplines, including Parasitology, Internal Medicine, Radiation Oncology, Psychology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Microbiology, and Gynecology. Students also explored current issues in Pharmacology, Immunology, Pathological Anatomy, Genetics, and Biochemistry, presenting research conducted within the respective academic departments.
The conference series, which will continue through June 25, brings together students from Tbilisi State Medical University as well as other higher education institutions across Georgia. Participants present the outcomes of their research through both oral and poster presentations.
Papers presented during the faculty-level conferences are evaluated by expert panels composed of specialists in the relevant fields. The conference consists of seven sections, with the three highest-ranked participants from each section advancing to the University Scientific Conference, scheduled to take place at Tbilisi State Medical University on June 24.
Following the conference, abstracts submitted by the winning students will be published in a scientific journal, supporting the promotion of young researchers’ scientific achievements and encouraging their continued engagement in academic and research activities.
The series will conclude with a ceremonial award event on June 25, during which the winners of the student scientific conferences will be recognized for their outstanding contributions.
