Aim of the program |
By the declared mission of TSU, ensuring human health and
well- being, optimizing its living
environment, and also the needs of the labor market,
the goal of the Master's program "Environmental Medicine" is to equip specialists
with the necessary knowledge and skills
for their professional activity and being able to participate in the implementation of health care policy and
harmoniously be integrated into the
national and international professional community. |

Enrollment
in the master's program is possible after successfully passing the minimum competencies threshold for
the unified national master's exam and based on the positive results of University
Exams. |
Learning
outcomes |
The learning
outcomes are assessable, which means that it provides an opportunity
to check the results and competencies achieved by the student. The program has the nine learning outcomes
that enables the development of graduates' competence in three areas: • knowledge and awareness, • Ability to • Responsibility and
autonomy. Knowledge and awareness ü Knows the methods
of the sanitary control of the condition of environmental objects. ü Realizes
the importance of timely detection of the effect of environmental factors on the population's health, in terms of developing appropriate preventive measures. ü Knows modern
research methods and realizes their
importance in the study of environmental medicine problems. ü Knows statistical analysis methods and their application in terms of data processing. Skills Ability: ü Detection
of essential influence of the manufacturing and non-manufacturing sectors and evaluation of their
impact ü on population health. Implementation of control over the planned preventive measures and their effectiveness. ü Environmental Sanitation Control.
Environmental Sanitation Control.
Monitoring the preventive medical examinations to develop population health
rehabilitation of occupational disease prevention. Operational and retrospective analysis
of population morbidity,
participation in health care prevention measures; ü Impact
of Environmental Factors and Industry products on the population health, ability to make conclusions, and planning the prophylactic measures conducting
scientific research, and data analysis. ü Present
your own concluding ideas, based on the analysis of laboratory and instrumental examinations data in the frames of the
professional ethics standards, both in academic and informal relations using native and foreign (English) languages. Responsibility and
autonomy: ü Having
the own position and role in professional activities, given the responsibility, can contribute appropriately to the development of the knowledge and
practice of environmental medicine. ü Can
continue independent continuous professional education studies based on an objective assessment of own knowledge and
skills in environmental medicine. |
