Tbilisi State Medical University hereby releases an official statement in response to the recent incident involving the defacement of the Israeli flag near our university campus a few days ago.
Throughout its history, Tbilisi State Medical University has consistently maintained an equitable and healthy educational environment for the thousands of students from various countries who have received or are currently receiving their education there.
We unequivocally denounce any actions that have the potential to generate tension and incite strife. Such actions are not only unacceptable but deeply troubling to us.
Consequently, we strongly urge all students to abstain from any efforts to deface the national symbols of any country.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has responded to the Israeli flag incident by taking all necessary measures, resulting in the issuance of fines to four individuals in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offenses (Article 174, 18 Prima).
