Tbilisi State Medical University is pleased to launch US MD Program from September 2013. The fully integrated curriculum was designed by the faculty of Emory School of Medicine and Tbilisi State Medical University in keeping with the desired characteristics of both Institutions graduates.

The goal of U.S. MD program is to train internationally competitive and competent, highly qualified physicians who are ready to postgraduate education and the specific training courses, both in Georgia and abroad (particularly in the USA), superb clinicians who demonstrate the highest degree of professionalism, outstanding clinical competency and problem-solving skills, and the ability to understand and utilize basic science in the clinical setting.

Focusing on small-group learning and increased interaction with faculty, students are immersed in clinical experience from the very beginning. Within the program, successful students apply for clinical clerkships and/or scientific research at Emory University. Preparation for the USMLE Step examinations is an integral part of the program. Upon successful completion of the course students will be awarded the MD degree.
