The 19th Annual International Meeting of the Society in Europe for Simulation Applied to Medicine – SESAM Paris 2013 (France)

On June 11 – 16, 2013 Head of the Clinical Skills Center of Tbilisi State Medical University, Prof. Irma Manjavidze was officially invited to the 19th Annual International Meeting of the Society in Europe for Simulation Applied to Medicine – SESAM Paris 2013 (France).

Prof. Irma Manjavidze spoke in public concerning “Implementation of Hybrid Simulation, as an Efficient Method for Development and Evaluation of Clinical Skills”.

The ultrasound imaging and operation simulators and productions of the world’s renowned firms were presented on the international meeting.

Simultaneously with the meeting the following trainings were delivered:

“Developing and Implementing of Simulation-based Stations for OSCEs” -  Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and Assistant Director of Research and Technology at its Gordon Center for Research in Medical Education, Ross J. Scalese

“Technology of Modern Simulation Centers” - Technical Manager of TuPASS Clinical Skills Center, University of  Tuebingen (Germany) , Eric Stricker.

In the frames of the 19th Annual International Meeting of the Society in Europe for Simulation Applied to Medicine, Prof. Irma Manjavidze met with the representatives of the World’s renowned companies and firms of medical simulators such as President of „KYOTO KAGAKU, H. Tamotsu Katayama, Head of Sales and Marketing Service of
“Laerdal”, Juergen J. Timmermann, International Sales Manager at “Limbs and Things”, Lee Johnson and Sales Manager in Europe of Gaumard, Dale Giedd. They received brochures Tbilisi State Medical University and TSMU Clinical Skills Center brochures. The future collaboration goals were planned with them.

It should be mentioned, that the participants of the annual meetings, trainings and seminars of Society in Europe for Simulation Applied to Medicine have the opportunity to share current achievements and experience with each other in this field.
