The International Conference “Opportunities for Medical Tourism in Georgia”

On June 25, 2013 the International Conference “Opportunities for Medical Tourism in Georgia” was held at Tbilisi State Medical University. The organizers were President of Medical Tourism Association, Renee-Marie Stephano and Official Representative of Medical Tourism Association in Georgia, Paata Ratiani.

     

The conference was opened by Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, Professor Zurab Vadachkoria. The conference was attended by Deputy Rector, Professor Rima Beriashvili, Director of TSMU Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Continuous Professional Development, Professor Zaza Bokhua, TSMU Administrative and Academic Staff and Students.

     

The speakers of the conference were: Education and Engagement Manager of Medical Tourism Association, Mr. Jeff Coxon, Education and Engagement Coordinator of Medical Tourism Association, Ms. Amelia Fernandez, U.S. Executive Program Director, Dr. Prem Jagyasi, Managing Partner at MPROVE GLOBAL, Ms. Mary B. Miller and Founder and CEO of “MedTourGeorgia” and Official Representative of Medical Tourism Association in Georgia, Dr. Paata Ratiani.

In the frames of the conference, the delegation members made an appointment with Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, Deputy Rector, Professor Rima Beriashvili, Director of TSMU Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Continuous Professional Development, Professor Zaza Bokhua and discussed the future collaboration plans with them.
