From July 26 to August 15, 2013, 40 students of Tbilisi State Medical University attended the summer school at clinical bases of Kharkiv Medical Academy of Post-graduate Education (Ukraine) supervising by Assistant Professor of TSMU, Lali Khutsishvili.
On the first day of Summer School, the group of students met with the Rector of Kharkiv Medical Academy of Post-graduate Education, Professor Olexandr Khvysiuk, who talked about traditions and achievements of the Academy.
Students' theoretical and practical trainings were conducted at following clinical Departments of Medical Academy: Department of Clinical Skills, Therapy and Nephrology, Cardiology and Functional Diagnostics, General Surgery and Proctology, Thoraco-Abdominal Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the City's Central Mortuary.
The great attention was paid to the cultural activities as well. TSMU students visited City museums and sightseeing. Academy supported the trip to Kiev, Sviatohirsk and Izium.
After completion of the summer school, Vice-Rector of Kharkiv Medical Academy of Post-graduate Education, Professor Vladimir Karpenko met with TSMU students and awarded them by the certificates. The Administrative and Academic Staff also met with the students, expressed their positive attitude towards the participants of the program and wished them success in their future medical activities.
Rector of Kharkiv Medical Academy of Post-graduate Education, Professor Olexandr Khvysiuk sent a Thank You Latter to the Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, Professor Zurab Vadachkoria for his active collaboration and for his contribution in development of the international relationships between Georgia and Ukraine.
