From July 28 to August 10, 2013 the staff of International Relations Department of Tbilisi State Medical University, Head of International Relations Department, Professor Ia Avaliani and senior specialists of the department, Nino Kandelaki and Natia Kvizhinadze paid an official visit to Baku, Azerbaijan through the invitation of TSMU partner recruiting company "Novruz-Az".

The goal of the visit was to interview and select the Azerbaijanian citizens, who wanted to study on Russian and English medium undergraduate programs of the faculty of Medicine and Stomatology of TSMU.

The Staff of International Relations Department talked the interested students and their parents about the conditions and requirements of studying at Tbilisi State Medical University. Most of them were interested in the Russian medium undergraduate programs of the Faculty of Medicine and Stomatology.

In the visit frameworks TSMU delegation visited to the partner Baku Medical University. Professor Ia Avaliani met with her colleague Professor Rahima Gabulova. They talked about the perspectives of partnership in the frames of the Erasmus Mundus Project MEDEA.
