On September 23 - 26, 2013 Head of the Department of ENT Diseases, Head and Neck Surgery of Berlin University Cottbus Clinic (Germany), Professor Thomas Eichhorn visited to Tbilisi State Medical University. On September 25, 2013 he met with Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, Professor Zurab Vadachkoria.

The meeting was attended by Head of Department of Oral, Head and Neck Oncology of TSMU, Professor Konstantine Mardaleishvili, The Head of the Foreign Language Teaching Centre of TSMU, Professor Manana Kutelia and Deputy Head of International Relations Department, Irina Kapetivadze.

On the meeting, Professor Zurab Vadachkoria thanked to Professor Thomas Eichhorn for such a productive and long time friendly relationship with Tbilisi State Medical University. They also discussed the future collaboration plans.

It should be mentioned that by the initiative of Professor Thomas Eichhorn, the sixth year students of the Faculty of Medicine of TSMU have their internships in the Department of ENT Diseases, Head and Neck Surgery of Berlin University Cottbus Clinic every year.

On September 24 - 25, 2013 in the frames of charity mission Professor Thomas Eichhorn provided free medical consultations for the patients and performed about ten charity operations (partial laryngectomy and malignant tumor stages I-II).
