On September, 2013 Deputy Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, Professor Gia Abesadze met with Associate Professor of Surgery Department of Technical University Munich, Edouard Matevossian.

The meeting was attended by First Deputy State Minister of Georgia for Diaspora Issues, Mr. Zaal Sarajishvili, Adviser to the State Minister for Diaspora Issues, Ms. Tamar Gamilaghdishvili, Head of the Association ,Aktion Strabenkinder in Georgien in Munchen”, the third year student of the faculty of medicine, Tekla Lorkipanidze, Head of International Relations Department, Professor Ia Avaliani, Deputy Head, Irina Kapetivadze, Head Surgical Diseases Course of Department of Surgery I,  Professor Nodar Lomidze, Head of Surgery Course of Department of Surgery I, Professor Gia Tomadze.

The international projects like student exchange programs, medical staff retraining and requalification programs were discussed on the meeting. The future collaboration between Tbilisi State Medical University and the clinic of Technical University Munich was planned.

On October 1, 2013 in TSMU High Technology Medical Center, Professor Edouard Matevossian delivered the following lectures for TSMU medical students:

_ “Experimental operations on animals – organ transplantation in clinic”
