From August 26 to September 21, 2013 Head of  International Relations Department, Professor Ia Avaliani paid an official visit to University Paris-East-Creteil (UPEC) in the frames of the Action 2 of ERASMUS MUNDUS program.

The internship included academic staff training in Cardiology Department of Henri Mondor Hospital, where Professor Ia Avaliani had a clinical rotation in Intensive Cardiac Care Unit, Heart Failure Unit and Functional Diagnostic Laboratory.

In the frames of the visit, Professor Ia Avaliani met with Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of University Paris-East-Creteil, Professor Jean-Luc Dubois- Rande, Vice-Rector of the University Claire Sotinel, Head of the International Relations Department Elise Lamare and Coordinator of International Relations of the Faculty of Medicine, Professor Philippe Grimbert.

During the meetings Georgian and French sides talked about the relationships between TSMU and University of Paris in the frame of ERASMUS MUNDUS program and signing the bilateral contract between these two universities.

During the visit, Professor Ia Avaliani participated in the planning of the orientation meeting ,,Happy UPEC”  - the event for the first year French and International Students. She learned about Computer Informath Systems in order to observe students duty, to select clinical modules and view Students Career portfolios.
