On October 17, 2013 the Contract was signed between Tbilisi State Medical University and Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau.

The meeting was attended by Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, Director of TSMU Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Continuous Professional Development, Professor Zaza Bokhua, Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine of TSMU, Professor Besarion Kilasonia and Professor of the same department, international expert Rusudan Beriashvili.

The representatives from Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau were: Head of the Bureau, Giorgi Khizanishvili, the first Deputy Head of the National Forensics Bureau, Vakhtang Kargareteli, Deputy Head of the National Forensics Bureau, Rostom Lazaria, Head of Human Resources Unit Teona Kekusandze and other experts of the Bureau.

The contract is aiming the collaboration between Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau and Tbilisi State Medical University in clinical, laboratory, scientific and educational issues, implementation of new programs in Postgraduate Medical Education and Continuous Professional Development, which provides to prepare new professional and retrain the professionals who are currently practicing. The both sides will conclude the collaboration in teaching methodologies, scientific and medical fields on the bases of the National Forensics Bureau and Tbilisi State Medical University.
