On October 12-17, 2013 Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Professor of the course immunology, Tinatin Chikovani paid an official visit to Dubai (the United Arab Emirates) to  attend VIII World Congress on Immunopathology, Respiratory Allergy and Asthma.

In the frames of the congress eight plenary sessions and three poster sessions were held. Paul Ehrlich honorary lectures were delivered by Professor Sergio Romagnani, University of Florence (Italy) and Professor Allen Kaplan, Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston (USA).

During the congress, Professor Tinatin Chikovani was a chairman of the plenary session, where Professors: Allen Kaplan (USA), Kristof Nekam (Hungary), Bogdan Petrunov (Bulgaria) and Kamal Maurice Hanna (Egypt) delivered the lectures.

During the congress, Professor Tinatin Chikovani made the presentation – “Cytokines and T Regulatory Cells in the Pathogenesis of Type 1 Diabetes”.
