On November 6 -7, 2013 Vice-Rector of Poznan University of Medical Science (Poland), Professor Iaroslaw Walkowiak and Head of International Relations Department, Bozena Raducha visited to Tbilisi State Medical University.

In the frames of the visit the guests met with Vice-Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, Professor Kakhaber Chelidze.

The meeting was attended by Head of International Relations Office, Professor Ia Avaliani and Deputy Head Irina Kapetivadze, Head of the TSMU Students and Alumni Relations Office Giga Sordia and senior specialist Gogi Chikovani.

On the meeting Georgian and Poland sides discussed the future collaboration plans and students, academic and administrative staff exchange programs and joint scientific and international projects to develop.

In the frames of the memorandum, the both sides made an agreement to run the exchange program for the students of the Faculty of Medicine and Stomatology in 2013-2014 academic year.

On the second day of the visit in Givi Zhvania Academic Pediatric Clinic Professor Iaroslaw Walkowiak delivered the lecture: “Gastroenterological Aspects of Cystic Fibrosis - An Example of Comprehensive Attitude to Metabolic Disease.”
