On November 25, 2013 Academic Board of Tbilisi State Medical University elected Professor of Pediatrics of Children’s Hospital of University of Bonn, Professor Michael Lentze as an Honorary Doctor of Tbilisi State Medical University.

It should be mentioned that Professor Michael Lentze was awarded by Honorary Degree because of his remarkable charitable contribution to Tbilisi State Medical University and Givi Zhvania Academic Pediatric Clinic and Pediatric Medicine in Georgia.

Professor Michael Lentze has been the President of the European Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology for years. He is an Honorary Member of the Austrian and German Society of Pediatrics.

At the moment Professor Michael Lentze works in TSMU Givi Zhvania Academic Pediatric Clinic in the frames of German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
