On December 6, 2013 Presentation of the Book “Laparoscopic Surgery” was held at Tbilisi State Medical University.

The event was attended by Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, University Academic and Administrative Staff and mentioned medical field specialists.

The book is very important in the development of medicine in Georgia, because it is the first Georgian original work and it is illustrated by the photos taken by the authors during their medical experiences.

The event was opened by Head of the Course of Surgery of Department of Surgery N1, the book reviewer, Professor Gia Tomadze. He positively evaluated the book and mentioned that it would be used by surgeons, as well as residents and students.

The authors of the book: Professor of the Thoraco-abdominal Course of Department of Surgery N1 Merab Kiladze, Professor of Thoracal Surgery Course Tengiz Chartolani and President-Elect of "Mediterranean & Middle Eastern Endoscopic Surgery Association" (MMESA), Medical Director of Endosurgery International Center, Professor Davit Abuladze. The authors thanked all who contributed to work, but especially to the book reviewer, Professor Jean–Luiji Melotti.
