On December 11, 2013 Professor of Pediatrics of Children’s Hospital of University of Bonn, Honorary Member of the Austrian and German Society of Pediatrics, Professor Michael Lentze  delivered the lecture  named “Current Issues in Gastroenterology” for medical residents and doctors in the Meeting Hall of Tbilisi State Medical University.

During the lecture Head of the Course of Child & Adolescent Medicine of Pediatric Department of Tbilisi State Medical University, Professor Karaman Paghava was assisting Professor Lentze in translation of the lecture.

Professor Lentze discussed gastroenterological pathologies such as Coeliac Disease, Cystic Fibrosis, Short Bowel Syndrome, their symptoms, diagnostic methods and statistic data of their prevalence.

The lecture was dynamic and it went through the question and answer session. Professor Lentze described different clinical cases and the audience diagnosed the cases.
