On December 16, 2013 Tango Festival was organized by TSMU Student Government in Red Hall of the 3^rd Academic Building of TSMU. Ten Georgian and international couples participated in the festival:

Tango contest was evaluated by the jury, which was consisted of:
Zurab Orjonikidze – TSMU Chancellor
Vakhtang Asanidze – Representative of Sport and Youth Affairs Ministry of Georgia
Gigi Gachechiladze – Dancer
Nikoloz Tsulukidze - Theater Historian
Natia Gujabidze – Professor of Histology, Cytology and Embryology Department of TSMU, Producer of the theatrical group “Hygia”
Levan Gomelauri – Dancer
Kakha Abuladze – TSMU Student Government President

The festival winners were announced:

The 1^st place- Sopo Goderdzishvili and Zurab Gvetadze
The 2^nd place- Ani Nadiradze and Tamaz Devnozashvili
The 3^rd place- Tatia Kochladze and Giorgi Saghinadze

The favorite couple of Sport and Youth Affairs Ministry of Georgia was announced - Lika Buzariashvili-Tornike Tamazashvili

The Student Government awarded the 1^st place winner by the special gift –the pass to Bakuriani. All winner couples were awarded by medals and diplomas.

TSMU chancellor Zurab Orjonikidze said the special thanks to choreographer Elena Akhmetova, who arrived from Russia especially for the festival.

Tango festival theatrical and musical program was performed by the actors of TSMU theatrical group “Hygia” : Luka Kikava, Mariam Kutidze, Nino Abshilava, Revaz Chkhaidze and singer Tereza Fukhashvili.

Medical Aesthetic Center “La Belle” awarded all participants by gift cards.

The idea of the festival belonged to TSMU student Tekla Gogrichiani. The producer of the festival was Lasha Lombzhanidze.
