Invited Teachers from Harvard University will Deliver the Lecture Course at TSMU

Harvard University delegation visited  Tbilisi State Medical University.   Rebekah Kim, James Lee and Jae Choe were interested in teaching methods and traditions at Tbilisi State Medical University. As it was noted, they are more interested in working and delivering the practical course which is proven and effective at Harvard University.

The meeting was attended by: Prof. Tinatin Chikovani, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Tbilisi State Medical University, Associate Professor Lela Maskhulia, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Prof. Ia Avaliani, Head of International Affairs Department. 

It is important that the interest was mutual. Appropriate steps have been taken as well. James Lee and

Jae Choe were invited (direction-physical medicine) by the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at TSMU Faculty   of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. From March, 2014, they will deliver the courses of “Physical Rehabilitation and Clinical Practice”, “Pain management” and “Main Principles for Rehabilitation of Cerebral Paralysis”.

According to Prof. Ia Avaliani, sharing experiences of the professorate from Harvard University is of great importance for us. It is necessary for both students and the University, in terms of improvement quality teaching. It is great honor for  TSMU  to  collaborate with the teachers of Harvard University.

Prof. Tinatin Chikovani, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine expressed her hope that in future, James Lee and Jae Choe will deliver the lecture-seminars at the Faculty of Medicine, as elective subject. The future doctors will be glad to be acquainted with the experiences of the teachers of  Harvard University.
