The academic staff of TSMU Department of Odontology. Department of Periodontics and Oral Mucosa Disorders together with Georgian Professional Association of Stomatologists and UniDent – Dental Clinic and Educational-Research Center - “UniDent” realized and implemented the project - Cycle of Rated and Resonant Practical Conferences - “Stomatology with High Standards”. The actuality of Conference topics caused a great interest of the listeners. Scientists and practicing doctors in the regions had the opportunity to get acquainted the audience with the latest achievements.
On December 21, 2013 in Telavi (Kakheti), within the frame of the project, stomatologists had the opportunity to attend the lectures by Professor Marina Mamladze, Head of TSMU Department of Odontology, President of Georgian Professional Association of Stomatologists, on “Paradigm preserving pulp vitality and management of initial pulpits” and the lecture by Prof. Manana Iverieli, Head of TSMU Periodontics and Oral Mucosa Disorders, on “Clinical manifestation of cheilitis and diagnostical aspects”.

Professors Nino Abashidze and Nino Chipashvili discussed the themes concerning to “Using of vector systems for management of the patients with periodonbtitis” and “Problem of local anesthesia in ambulatory stomatology”. 
The important part of the conference was the master class, held at dental clinic "Smile Dent" (Director Gia Pachoshvili) held by members of Georgian Professional Association of Stomatologists:Prof. Manana Iverieli, Prof. Nino Abashidze; Doctors of Dental Clinic and Educational-Research Center - “UniDent”: Maia Lomsianidze, Maka Kopaliani, Tea Chumburidze and Tamar Zhgenti. The attending physicians were observing consultations of patients with periodontal disease by using vector system for treatment of moderate periodontitis, dental restoration...

According to the participants, it was a very interesting and important conference, which will have visible results in terms of future successful work of dentists in Kakheti region. 
High level of implemented project was confirmed as well by CPD scores of 5 - I – type, granted at the meeting of the Board of Postgraduate Education and Continuous Professional Development.

On February 22-23, 2014, the II scientific - practical conference " Dentistry with High Standards " was successfully held in Kutaisi. The lectures were delivered at lecture hall of Kutaisi Akaki Tsereteli State University. The conference was opened and the first lecture was delivered by Professor Marina Mamladze, Head of TSMU Department of Odontology, President of Georgian Professional Association of Stomatologists The interest was huge. 
The audience, with the capacity of 280 listeners, was actively involved in the question - answer mode session that was lasted for 8 hours. The organizers answered to all interesting topics. 
A large part of doctor-stomatologists from the regions of Georgia stated that the lectures of Professor Manana Iverieli, Nino Tchipashvili and Nino Abashidze, covered much-needed information for them.
On February 23, 2014, at the Dental Clinic "Dentimer" (Director Tengiz Zhvitiashvili) the master - classes were held for the practical dentists of Imereti region. Restoration of Front Teeth were conducted by Tea Chumburidze and Tamar Zhgenti, the dentists of Educational-Research Center "UniDent". Endodontic treatment of teeth and master class were shown by the doctors – Maia Lomsianidze and Maka and Kopalini. Professor Nino Abashidze used the vector system for patient’s treatment. The Scientific-practical conference was sponsored by pharmaceutical firms: "Alpen Pharma Group" და „GEA“. Patients with periodontal disease consultation was carried out in parallel by Professor Manana Iverieli. Participants were awarded appropriate certificates.
The interest was so great that the doctor-stomatologists expressed their willing to conduct additional meetings with Professors Marina Mamaladze and Nino Chipashvili, focusing attention on topical issues of studying process at TSMU Department of Odontology.
This project turned out to be so resonant that it caused a great interest in journalists and regional TV have prepared a special report on this topic. 
Dissemination of information is of great importance as the project includes 4 steps: lectures and master class - in Kakheti, Imereti, Kartli and Samegrelo. So, two tours are ahead ...
