On May 14-18, 2014, Special Olympics: European Unified Football Tournament “Tbilisi, 2014" was held at M. Meskhi Stadium, The main goal of the tournament was the integration of persons with intellectual disabilities in the community, support their healthy lifestyle  and involvement in football community. Approximately 180 athletes from 13 countries participated in the tournament, supported by the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs, football federation and UEFA Repect.

During the tournament Special Olympic program -  “Healthy Atheletes - Special Smiles” foreseeing  medical (dental) examination/consultation/treatment of athletes provided by the staff of TSMU N.1 Dental Clinic:  George Dugashvili , Irma botsvadze, Tamar Kochlashvili Nana Suladze and Tamar Ratiani, was implemented. Special Olympics and its Director Zh. Gotsireli express  special thanks to leadership and staff of the clinic.

 Thank-you letters were received by Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria, TSMU Rector, Zurab Orjonikidze, TSMU Chancellor and  David Khvedeliani, Director of TSMU N.1 Dental Clinic.
