on June 6, 2014 the fifth scientific conference "Physics in Medicine, organized by TSMU Students' self governing body, TSMU Department of Physics and Biophysics and I. Tarkhnishvili  Students’ Scientific Society was held in the meeting hall of Tbilisi State Medical University. 32 TSMU students of I-V years  and residents made reports at the Conference. Subjects were highly topical, as in the era of technology advances physics is given a priority to improve medical equipment and to facilitate  obtaining  quick and effective results for doctors.

At the end of the Conference Assistant Professor David Tskhomelidze of the Department of Medical Biology and Parasitology said that the conference on medical physics was always  notable for its high level of preparation and thanked to the organizers and speakers of the Conference. The conference was attended by the TSMU academic staff and invited guests.
