On July 16, 2014, the representatives of Gorbachevsk Tternopil State Medical University (Ukraine): Prof. Marian Grebennik, Director  of the institute of postgraduate education, Head of the Department of Family Medicine and Therapy, Prof. Michail Korga, Dean of the Faculty of International Students and Head of the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Prof. Oksana Boiarchuk, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, visited Tbilisi State Medical University.Gorbachevsk ternopil State Medical University is interested to implement modernized approach in the fields of postgraduate education (residency)  and continuous medical education. For this purpose they need professional consultations of Georgian colleagues. Ukrainian guests met  Prof. Zaza Bokhua, Director of TSMU Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Continuous Professional Development, where all details related to passing to modernized system were considered. They shared the experience of TSMU and noticed over again that TSMU provides high level of postgraduate education. On July 17, 2014 the representatives of Gorbachevsk Tternopil State Medical University (Ukraine): Prof. Marian Grebennik, Prof. Michail Korga, and Prof. Oksana Boiarchuk,  were met by Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria Rector of TSMU. The meeting was attended by: Prof. Zaza Bokhua, Director of TSMU Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Continuous Professional Development, Prof. Tinatin Chikovani, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Ia Avaliani Head of International Affairs Department and Irina Kapetivadze Deputy Head of the same Department. The guests introduced their University activities, ongoing processes in academic field and future plans. According to them they hope to reach that high level experienced at Tbilisi State Medical University at present.According to Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria, Rector of TSMU, he had meeting with  Prof. Leonid Kovalchuk  Rector of Ternopil State Medical University and Nikolai Osiichuk, Head of Scientific and Educational Department at Ukraine Health Care Ministry. Tbilisi State Medical University will be glad to help friend  and partner  University in decision of all problematic issues, support implementation of those significant changes necessary to achieve modern and high standard teaching.
