From 2014-15 Academic Year Two Nominative Scholarships will be Established at TSMU

On July 25, 2014 for providing financial and moral support to TSMU students, establishment of two new Scholarships was decided at the meeting of Academic and Representative Boards of Tbilisi State Medical University. According Prof. Tina Chikovani Dean of the Faculty of Medicine "Academician Pridon Todua addressed to the University and expressed his willing to assign “Fridon Todua Scholarship” from  his personal funds for TSMU successful  students from September 2014 with  monthly amount of 200 (two hundred) GEL and it will be awarded to advanced student of the Faculty of Medicine, recommended by the University who will be distinguished  with good behavior, learning, honesty" and at the same time the need for material support. The matter was discussed at the meeting of the Board of the Faculty of Medicine on July 23 and decided Todua Academic Scholarship will be given to the most highly ranked student".

The representatives of Academic and Representative Boards also discussed establishment of Otar Ghudushauri National Medical Center Scholarship.  Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Professor Tina Chikovani said that, Gigi Gotsiridze, a founder of Academician Otar Ghudushauri National Medical Center expressed desire to assign a monthly scholarship of Academician Otar Ghudushauri National Medical Center, Ltd., (200 GEL)  for  2  highly ranked V year  students of the Faculty of Medicine. The scholarship will be awarded annually with the principle of choosing a new candidate for every academic year”. "The members the Boards unanimously approved the submitted proposals.  For TSMU it is a priority to increase the motivation of students and focus on getting the best results in the field of education, thus the founding of New Scholarships will be important for both professors and students of Tbilisi State Medical University.
