Presentation of the Project: “Impact of radiofrequency thermal ablation on adaptive immune response in patients with liver cancer

On February 17, 2015, the joint project of TSMU and University of Burgundy  (France) - “Impact of radiofrequency thermal ablation on adaptive immune response in patients with liver cancer " was presented at Tbilisi State Medical University.

The project deserved a high appreciation of international experts and gained funding of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation.The project will be implemented on the base of TSMU Department of Interventional Radiology and Immunology. The presentation was attended by students, residents, academic staff and field specialists of TSMU.

The audience was greeted by Prof. Rima Beriashvili, Vice-Rector of TSMU, who noted the importance of development of fundamental medicine in Georgia and awaking interest of new generation towards development of scientific innovations. The project was presented by Prof. Tinatin Chikovani, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Head of Immunology Department and Prof. Malkhaz Mizandari, Professor of the Department of Radiology.
