For the first time in Georgia, on March 17, 2015, at TSMU Givi Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic, resection of  Meckel Diverticulum by laparoscopy was performed on the patient one year and 9 months of age by Georgian Doctors: Prof. Avtandil Kutubidze, Head of TSMU  Department of Pediatric Surgery and Prof. Merab Kiladze, TSMU #1 Department of Surgery, thoracoabdominal direction. The surgery was successful and general condition of the patient is satisfactory.
