On May 18, 2015, Mariam Jashi, Executive Director of the Solidarity Fund visited TSMU. She held the presentation of the Solidarity Fund which was attended by Professor Zurab Vadachkoria Rector of TSMU, Zurab Ordzhonikidze Chancellor, academic and administrative staff of TSMU and  the representatives of Students’ Self-Government body. During the presentation, the activities and objectives of the Fund and various and convenient forms of donations were represented in details. According to  Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria, Rector of TSMU, it is our pleasure  to be involved in  this important activity. He wished that following the slogan of the Solidarity Fund - “Kindness is contagious”, outbreak of kindness be extended to the entire country. Contribution of at least one GEL made by each employee fully will cover treatment of oncologic patients under the age of 22, people with disabilities or with rare diseases.

Moreover, to help children that come from poor families will be possible as well. This is a prospect for the future. Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Tbilisi State Medical University and the Solidarity Fund.
