On 23 May 2015, Prof. Rima Beriashvili, Vice-Rector of the Tbilisi State Medical University  met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Armenia and Georgia, H.E. Mr. Suresh Babu.
The meeting was attended by: Prof. Tina Chikovani Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. David Topuria, Head of the Department of Overseas Students Education, Prof. Ia Avaliani Head of the Department of International Affairs and  Irina Kapetivadze Deputy Head of the Department of International Affairs.

They discussed international relations of TSMU and ongoing joint projects with leading universities of the world, the issues concerning to the study process of Indian students, including their involvement in various educational projects and cultural activities. They also discussed the prospects of future relations. After the official meeting, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Armenia and Georgia, H.E. Mr. Suresh Babu met with Indian students of TSMU.
