On June 25, 2015, Prof. Eli Magen, Head of Allergy and Clinical Immunology Service at  Barzilai Medical Center, Chief therapist  Medical Director of South Region and Chief Doctor (Israel) visited TSMU who according to the decision of TSMU Academic Board was awarded  the Honorary Doctorate  of TSMU.

Eli Magen was met and welcomed by: Professor ZurabVadachkoria Rector of TSMU, Vice-Rectors: Professor Kakhaber Chelidze and Professor Rima Beriashvili, Professor Tina Chikovani Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Ia Avaliani Head of the Department of International Affairs.

According to Prof. Eli Magen, the title of Honorary Doctorate  is a particular honor for him and thanked the university for such  great honor. He spoke about the future plans and the special projects, implementation of which will be available with involvement of Tbilisi State Medical University.
