Piloting of Integrated OSCE Examination

On June 30, 2015, piloting of Integrated OSCE Examination was held in TSMU Center of Clinical Skills, which was attended by Professor Zurab Vadachkoria Rector of TSMU, Prof. Kakhaber Chelidze Vice-Rector and  Professor Tinatin Chikovani Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. According to Professor Irma Manjavidze Director of TSMU Center of Clinical Skills, they planned expansion of Integrated OSCE Examination.

It is already the second year OSCE Examination is held twice a year in Obstetrics and Gynecology but this time stations of pediatrics, Internal Medicine and other directions were involved in the expanded OSCE  Examination.  This year piloting of Integrated OSCE  Examination was  performed  in twelve stations. Ten of them were active stations: Intensive Care/reanimation - trauma management, Neonatology –newborns’ assessment, gynecology, pediatric reanimation, radiology station equipped with ultrasound simulator (digestive tract moulage was used), auscultation, ECG, arrhythmia management, breast examination and obstetric examination. According to the survey conducted after the examination, piloting process was assessed positively.
