On July 10, 2015, Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria, Rector of TSMU, Prof. Rima Beriashvili Vice-rector,  Prof. Ia Avaliani  Head of TSMU Department of International Affairs, Prof. Dali Berashvili Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Prof.r Aliosha Bakuridze, met with the representatives of Medical University of Lublin (Poland): Professor Kazimierz Glowniak, Associate Professors: Agnieszka Ludwiczuk, Tomasz Mroczek, Krystyna Skalicka-Wozniak, Assistant Professors: Wirginia Kukula-Koch and Wojciech Koch, Scientist-technician Assistants:Jaroslaw Widelski, Elwira Sieniawska and Krzysztof Nowak Director of Pharmaceutical Industry.

The sides discussed joint project of Tbilisi State Medical University and Department of Botany and Pharmacognosy of Medical University of Lublin – “Collection of medicinal plants in Georgia as a chance for development of labor market” that will be funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland.

Professor Kazimierz Glowniak awarded the certificates to TSMU teachers who have been trained at the Department of Botany and Pharmacognosy of Medical University of Lublin, under this project.

The project aims to teach 40 young persons, who will be introduced to Morphological and anatomical features, resources, gathering, processing and keeping techniques of medicinal plants. 

Polish guests and representatives of TSMU exchanged the gifts.
